For the first time in the history, a Gavel Club is to be formed in Institute of Engineering Technology. The Inauguration and Introduction Session was conducted on 20th March 2018 at Auditorium of the Institute. Members from Gavel Club at University of Kelaniya did a model meeting and Former Gavel Club Coordinator to the Toastmasters District 82 delivered a comprehensive Introduction to Toastmasters and Gavel Clubs.
All students actively participated in the event by delivering speeches on the very first day. Event was an initiated and funded by NDES & Special App.s’ Alumni Association.
